Proposed Itinerary

DAY 1 - Depart U.S.A. for your flight to Mexico City. Upon arrival you are met by our representative who will escort you to your private motor coach for transfer & check-in to your hotel. You will have time to relax and freshen up before gathering in the lobby and transferring to the beautiful St. Francis of Assisi Church for Mass followed by a Welcome Dinner. (D)

http://www.catholicjourneys.com/magnif2.jpgDAY 2 - Today is a day dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe. After breakfast at your hotel, you will travel to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Here you will have Mass, followed by a tour of the Basilica, where the Tilma of Juan Diego is located. You will also tour the grounds including the hilltop Chapel of Tepeyac where the history of Our Lady's visit to Guadalupe will be related. There will be time for prayer and shopping before having lunch. In the afternoon you will travel to visit Tulpetlac, site of the Fifth Apparition. It was here that Juan Diego’s uncle, Juan Bernardino, was cured. A church is now built over this spot and is known as the Church of the Healing. Return to hotel for dinner. (B,L,D)

DAY 3 -  After breakfast, depart for full day excursion beginning in Puebla where you will visit the Church of Santo Domingo and havehttp://www.catholicjourneys.com/magnif3.jpg Mass in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary. From there you will visit St. Francis of Assisi Church and view the incorrupt body of Blessed Sebastian de Aparicio. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant, before heading to Tlaxcala to visit the Shrine of San Miguel del Milagro. It is here that St. Michael the Archangel appeared to Diego Lazaro de San Francisco in 1631 and told him of a miraculous spring. Continue on to Ocatlan, where in 1531, the Blessed Virgin appeared to Juan Diego Bernadino. The Blessed Virgin Mary burned her image into the trunk of an old oak tree. Ever since, Mary has been honored as Our Lady of Ocatlan, Our Lady of the Oak that Burned. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)

http://www.catholicjourneys.com/cathedral%20in%20Zocalo.jpgDAY 4 – After breakfast enjoy a tour of Historical Mexico City, highlighted with visits to the Zocalo where you will see the National Palace and visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, and have Mass in the Chapel of the miraculous Cross of Poison. Originally made of white marble, the cross miraculously turned black from absorbing poison placed on it intended to kill the Bishop who traditionally kissed the feet of the cross every day at mass. After time for Prayer and veneration you will travel to a nearby restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon you will travel to the picturesque area of Coyoacan, where you will visit thehttp://www.catholicjourneys.com/stjohnthebaptist.jpg Church of St. John the Baptist and the 16th Century Franciscan Cloister. There will be time for shopping and to explore the cobblestone streets lined with stately mansions, beautiful plazas, art galleries and restaurants before returning to the hotel. Enjoy a Special Farewell Dinner tonight in a local restaurant. (B,L,D)

DAY 5 - After breakfast you will have a final Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe before you transfer to the airport for the return flight home. (B)
