The chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary has a glorious decoration of onyx, gilded plasterwork, paintings, and tiles covered with 22-carat gold leaf and considered the eighth wonder of the New World and named a “reliquary of America” by Pope Saint John Paul II in 1979.  After mass, we will walk through Downtown, the best way to enjoy the city .

Each September, when Mexico celebrates its independence from Spain, people throughout Mexico enjoy Chiles en Nogada, a seasonal dish of mild poblano peppers stuffed with ground pork and fruit, covered in a sauce of walnuts, parsley, and pomegranate seeds.
